Dare to Dream
Strength, purity of mind
Youth, unconcerned with time
Overflowing spirit full of life
It’s all lost
Hope, running free and wild
The will to never look behind
To search for something that you’ll never find
It’s all gone
Oh, why do you have to dream so hard?
It only breaks your heart
Brave in everything you tried
To the limits of your mind
The hedonistic voyages inside
All in vain
Oh, why do you have to dream so hard?
It only breaks your heart
Reckless heart!
Rebel spirit!
Heights of joy!
Challenge what is possible
You can change the world
Breaking through the speed of light
You will have to pay the price
Call of danger in the night
Chasing falling stars
Wonder what became of us?
You have seen too much
Too much
Too young
Oh, why do you have to dream so hard?
It only breaks your heart
Song Notes
Tim Wheeler speaking about the track upon it’s release in April 2010:
“This is super fresh. I wrote it on New Years Eve before going out. We recorded it at the end of January and completed it mid-Feb, just in time to send it to the Czech Republic to get the vinyl pressed. We had the music recorded but I only had a handful of lyrics and we had to make a decision on what would be single “N” before it was finished to get the artwork pressed in time. We gambled on this based on the music hoping the lyrics would do it justice. Thankfully it turned out to be a winner. Last minute magic”.
