Goldfinger

The band were apparently unhappy at this video shoot because of the low degree of involvement they had in it. The video is fairly straight forward, the band play along to the song in a purple lit basement, while black and white shots are cut to occasionally.

On the song itself, Tim Wheeler wrote it as a teenager while finishing school, inspired by leaving behind his provincial life in Northern Ireland. The song uses a section from the famous James Bond theme in the middle eight — the band called it “Goldfinger” during rehearsals and the name stuck, though Wheeler later regretted it due to the confusion it caused.
