Review
This was a radio festival of sorts. Ash played first, followed by The Bravery, Ben Lee, The Dresden Dolls and The Black Keys. Quite a shame, but only a tiny handful of the sold-out crowd were there to see Ash.
They followed the worst local band in the history of the world. However, Ash got the job done and played a solid mixture of the old ones and the new ones. Solid, except for a few seconds when he played a succession of wrong chords during “Burn Baby Burn”. A bit shocking (noticeably to the band as well), considering he’s probably played it about ten million times by now.
“Kung Fu” was dedicated to Ben Lee, who was watching in the wings. The Bravery later dedicated a song to Mark, “the most hungover man in America today”.
