Review
This was a truly classic Ash show. Ash continues to be so true to their fan base. The turn out in the U.S. is typically so pathetic…the band does not get the airplay they deserve over here. I was actually embarrassed at the ignorance of the crowd as they left immediately after The Bravery performed. While The Bravery played to 250 people or more. Ash ended up playing to maybe 30-40 fans. I continue to be pissed off at the fact that a band like the Bravery can have 1 song get played over and over from a debut record and people show up in droves for them. Then a tried and true band like Ash have to play mop-up. Despite that, the one thing that I love about Ash is every time I have seen them they have played to very small crowds and they never play down because of it–they always give 100% even though they wouldn’t have to.
I was very happy to hear “Petrol” which is very rare. I hope that Tim and Company continue to tour the U.S. I know that their dedication will one day translate to success in the U.S.
I would urge anyone who loves music to see Ash LIVE. The live experience is superior to the studio product, which is rare.
Anyway having seen Ash six times I have NEVER been disappointed and I hope that they continue to visit the U.S.
