T in the Park Festival with Snow Patrol. Ash’s appearance was supposed to be kept a secret but they were announced as headliners of the second stage on the T In The Park official website. However to keep fans guessing the band appeared on stage at 6:30 on the other stage, avoiding clashes with the main stage headliners. As a result the tiny tent was rammed. The show also marked the eve of the 29th birthday of drummer Rick McMurray, and Tim lead the crowd in a chorus of happy birthday.
