When I’m Tired
When I’m tired
My mind will wander far
Waiting in a room
I feel nothing
The burning of it all
Makes time go so slow
And before I know
There’ll be nothing
I know in my heart
That we’re falling apart
There’s no love
I know in my heart
That we’re falling apart
There is no love
I’m not living for the past
I’m not living for today
I’m living in a world
With no future
I feel no remorse
There is no regret
I’ll just let it fade
Into nothing
I know in my heart
That we’re falling apart
No love
I know in my heart
That we’re falling apart
There is no love
See it in your eyes
I can read your mind
You know as well as I
That it’s over
We’re living a lie
We’re paying the price
We had a crash
And we’re burning
I know in my heart
That I’m falling apart
Deep inside my soul
I feel nothing
I’m not living for the past
I’m not living for today
I’m living in a world with no future
Song Notes
“When I’m Tired” is another of the Nu-Clear Sounds era bittersweet ‘burn-out’ songs, although with a slightly faster pace than some of its contemporaries. The song had the working title “Space Rock” when it was demoed.
