…wrong song!

When I was on the T.V
A light came down in front of me
A dream, I awoke to daylight
But I was too tangled up with the night, oh no

I ran through the autumn sunlight
You knew it was me
You know it was me
But I knew that your head had gone blank
You’d forgotten me
You’d forgotten me

I had no clothes, but I swam through the air
The chill bit my body bare
Piranhas chased after me
But I was too fast, I was super-speed, oh no

I ran through the autumn sunlight
You knew it was me
You know it was me
But I knew that your head had gone blank
You’d forgotten me
You’d forgotten me

This isn’t for Peter Pan
A fastly decaying ageing man
This is the place of someone else
Who saw me running, but who won’t tell, oh no

I ran through the autumn sunlight
You knew it was me
You know it was me
But I knew that your head had gone blank
You’d forgotten me
You’d forgotten me

Song Notes

This song is very dark, upbeat, and grungy. The verse’s are not as clear as the chorus. This song seems really Nirvana inspired. This song is one of the most punk-sounding of the demo songs. There are some cool little guitar solos in the song too, which is perhaps why it was included again on Pipe Smokin’ Brick. However, Ash seemed to give up this style one they started recording for Trailer. (By Brian M)
