Jack Names the Planets

The original UK single release in 1994 was relatively low-key and did not receive an accompanying promotional music video. However, in 1995 the song gained renewed visibility when it was included on the soundtrack to the coming-of-age film Angus. To support this release, the track was issued as a promotional single in the United States, prompting the creation of a dedicated music video for the American market.

Directed by Phil Harder, the video combines clips from Angus with footage of the band performing in a stark white studio space. These performance sequences are intercut with surreal visual elements, including the band appearing as figures embedded within moving posters.

On November 4th 2019, Ash released a remastered version of the video to promote the Teenage Wildlife compilation album. This version mixed footage from throughout the bands careers, including snippets from other videos, live footage and backstage antics, combined with clips from this original video.
