We Don’t Care

We’re always rapping about sex and guns
It’s just the normal way we get our fun
People label us degenerates
Cos we’ve got troubles with our etiquette

We don’t care
We don’t care
We don’t, we don’t, we don’t care

We don’t care
We don’t care
We don’t, we don’t, we don’t care

The wrong fashions, we just don’t fit
The wrong dance moves but we’ll never quit
All the wrong attitudes about hygiene
The wrong platitudes, we’re just so mean

We don’t care
We don’t care
We don’t, we don’t, we don’t care

We don’t care
We don’t care
We don’t, we don’t, we don’t care

There’s something about us cos we just don’t care
We just don’t care
We just don’t care
They’re talking about cos we just don’t care
We just don’t care
We just don’t care

If you don’t recognise the hope in our eyes
We’ll pull your aeroplanes right out of the skies
You seem concerned but you don’t realise
We don’t care and we don’t tell lies

We don’t care
We don’t care
We don’t, we don’t, we don’t care

We don’t care
We don’t care
We don’t, we don’t, we don’t care

We don’t care
We don’t care
We don’t, we don’t, we don’t care

We don’t care
We don’t care
We don’t, we don’t, we don’t care

Hey, Hey, Hey

Song Notes

“We Don’t Care” is a catchy glam-rock number and was the last song recorded with Charlotte Hatherley before her departure from the band.

The song was written by Tim Wheeler with Mik Tierney of The Republic of Loose. Gang vocals on the chorus are provided by Mayor Goldie Wilson, Coco Sherlock, 5 Deel, Christine Paltrow, Mufflo, Ted Nugent, Miss Easy Rider and The Proboscis. Tim Wheeler said of the track just prior to its release:

Ash go glam rock (early 70s style). I wrote it with Mik from The Republic Of Loose. It’s the closest we’ll ever get to a football anthem. It features sweet gang vocals from Mayor Goldie Wilson, Christine Paltrow, Coco Sherlock, Mufflo, The Proboscis and a few other notables.
