Ash played another triumphant UK show at Loughborough University last night. The setlist ran as follows:

Ash made their debut appearance at the Download Festival yesterday (June 14). The band took to the Tuborg Stage at 19.30 (BST), and played a selection of songs spanning their entire career, from ‘Kung Fu’ to ‘You Can’t Have It All’.

Ash’s cover of The Rentals ‘Please Let That Be You’ is now available to download from the US iTunes Music store and Amazon.com. The song is lifted from the album ‘Friends of P - The Rentals Tribute’.
The track costs $0.99 and can be previewed on both Amazon and iTunes. The Rentals frontman Matt Sharp was the original bassist of the band Weezer and is also credited in the Meltdown sleeve notes for band photography and lending a bass amp.
Ash have confirmed their appearane at the Glasgowbury Festival in Draperstown, Derry, N.Ireland on 26th July. The band have also confirmed their appearance at the Raumarock Festival in Norway on August 2nd and that they will be headling the Cardiff Free Music Festival on 3rd August. Check the tour dates section for a full list of upcoming shows.
Tickets for Ash’s special ‘1977′ show at the Astoria will be available from 9am on Tuesday 10th June.
Following the news that the bands performance of ‘1977′ at London’s Roundhouse has sold out, Ash have announced they will be returning to their favourite venue, London Astoria, the following night 6th September for a record breaking appearance to perform their classic album ‘1977′ in it’s entirety.

Ash rocked into Middlesbrough last night, headlining the Middlesbrough Music Live event. The band performed a shorter set than the previous night which ran as follows: Lose Control, You Can’t Have It All, Orpheus, A Life Less Ordinary, Shining Light, Walking Barefoot, Goldfinger, Ichiban, Kung Fu, Oh Yeah, Burn Baby Burn, Renegade Cavalcade, Blacklisted, Girl From Mars, Twilight of the Innocents.
The band will now head back to New York to spend the next two weeks working on and recording more new material.
Ash debuted a new song last night as the band returned to live action in Bradford at St George’s Hall. The new song ‘Ichiban’ (formerly ‘Survivor’) featured in a greatest hits set. You can see a video of the song below.

Ash are set to headline the Sunday leg of the Ben & Jerry’s Sundae festival, which takes place over the weekend of 26th - 27th July at London’s Clapham Common. Tickets are not currently on sale, but will soon be available from the Ben & Jerry’s Online Gift Shop priced at £8.75.
As well as Ash, festival goers can except sets from Slow Club, Cage the Elephant, Parka and The New York Fund and enjoy a mix of free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and fairground attractions.
The two day festival will also mark the 30th anniversary of Ben And Jerry’s ice cream, with founder Jerry Greenfield set to attend.
