Ash have today confirm that they will be playing a show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The support for this show will include The Gentlemen, The Vintones and Aunty Doubles. Radio 1’s Collin Murray will be hosting the night too.

Colin Murray has made Ash’s new single ‘End Of The World’ the Single Of The Week on his Radio 1 show.

Colin is on air Monday-Thursday at 10pm until midnight. This means the bands new single will now get played every night this week on Radio 1 (97-99 FM).

You may remember a while ago we revealed Ash had been confirmed to play a show as part of XFM’s 10th birthday celebrations, well we can now reveal the date and venue. The show will take place at Monto Water Rats on September 4.

Ash have delayed the release of their new single ‘End Of The World’ from Monday 27th August to September 10th. The video for the single, which will be the third from the bands ‘final’ album ‘Twilight Of The Innocents’, was recorded in Japan earlier this month. Stay tunned for confirmation of the release date and B-sides.

The single got it’s first radio play last week on Colin Murray’s Radio 1 Show.

XFM have announced details of their birthday celebrations, which will include a live performance from Ash. They have revealed that some of the biggest bands around will be performing across London to celebrate a decade of Xfm’s great broadcasting, live events and new music. Over 20 acts will take part in the celebrations over the coming months, giving Xfm and you, the most rock and roll birthday imaginable.

The party kicks off on August 6 with The Coral and will continue with exclusive gigs from Pigeon Detectives, Biffy Clyro, CSS, The Fratellis, The Rumblestrips, Kate Nash, Babyshambles, Stereophonics, Maximo Park, Kaiser Chiefs, Klaxons, Razorlight, Ash and The Kooks.

The date and venue of Ash’s gig has yet to be announced, but we’ll let you know more details as they emerge.

Ash have announced details of more instores to promote the release of new single ‘Polaris’ which is out on Monday (18th June) Ash will be playing a short live set and signing copies of the new single at the following stores:

Ash will also be performing live for Kerrang! radio next Tuesday 19th June. The performance will be free and you can win tickets for the exclusive performance at Kerrang! radio it will take place at their studios in Birmingham.

Ash’s next single ‘Polaris’ has already made it onto BBC Radio 2’s B list. It is currently set for release on Monday 18th June, two weeks before the new album ‘Twilight of the Innocents’. The single has also made it onto the XFM upfront playlist, and should hopefully make it onto the full playlist soon.

Jo Whiley will give Ash’s next single ‘Polaris’ it’s first play exclusive on her Radio 1 show tomorrow (Monday 30th April). ‘Polaris’ is set to be released at the end of June just prior to the release of the bands new album ‘Twilight of the Innocents’ which will follow on July 2nd.
