‘Polaris’ Confirmed As Next Single

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

There’s a brand new interview with Ash bassist Mark Hamilton on the official Ash website. The interview focuses on their hopes for new single ‘You Can’t Have It All’, which is currently at number 13 in the midweek charts, and the current instore tour the band are doing around the UK.

Mark also confirms ‘Polaris’ will be the next single set for release at the end of June just weeks before album ‘Twilight of the Innocents’ which is released on July 02nd. Mark confirmed the band are filming the video for ‘Polaris’ this Saturday after there appearance on Soccer AM on Sky Sports.

Mark said of the concept of the video for ‘Polaris’:

“Yeah, it’s shown from the eyes of these children. There are two teams of kids having an imaginary war fight in a forest, with sticks and stuff. Only it transforms so that you can actually see what they’re imagining - with proper explosions and guns going off. It’s supposed to be about loss of innocence. It’s by the same guy (Jeff Thomas) who did the last video and the treatment just sounded really interesting.”

“We’ll be amongst the trees somewhere playing, I think. But hopefully we’ll get to check out the explosions too. Although, knowing me, I might end up getting a leg blown off. And then my footballing abilities would be even worse!”
