Charlotte Hard At Work

Charlotte Hatherley has posted another message on her official message board. Part of the post runs as follows:

I’m in San Francisco staying with Eric Drew Feldman, he who produced Grey Will Fade. In December we’re gonna record four rockers, one of which is poppier than a lemon popsicle. It’s gonna swagger like Roxy Music, and it’s sounding bloody ace. So the plan is to keep on writing until March and record whatever new ideas i have, and then the album is Go!

So far we have 13 songs. I’m going to Australia for my sisters wedding in February so i’ll be sitting on a beautiful stretch of golden sand trying to channel the genius of Brian Wilson for the final writing stint of album No. 2. Hopefully that won’t get confused with Dennis Wilson, who drowned.

I won’t be doing any live shows before 2006. I have too much going on with the writing and recording so apologies to those who were hoping for a wee fan gig. Most of my band are currently lording it up with Graham Coxon, the swines! Things will be happening next year as all is quiet in Ash world whilst Tim writes in New York, so i’ll be touring and doing all sorts of shennanigans that’s for sure.
