Singapore Festival Confirmed

Ash have today announced that 10 years after their last eventful trip to Singapore, they will return on October 2nd to headline an outdoor event at Fort Canning Park during the Singapore Beer Festival.

Singapore was the inspiration behind Singapore Song which Tim wrote while there on the Nu-Clear Sounds tour. It was later renamedSeventh Circle and released as a B-Side to last years single End Of The World.

Ash will also play at Festival Alaquas, a free festival in Spain on Saturday 30th August.

Roundhouse & Astoria Support Acts Announced

Ash have today announced that their two upcoming London ‘1977′ shows are going to be an all Northern Irish, trio affair. Derry’s Fighting With Wire have been confirmed to join the band on September 5th at The Roundhouse. While the following night, In Case Of Fire open at the Astoria on September 6th.

Ash To Play Ricoh Arena

Ash have today confirm that they will be playing a show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The support for this show will include The Gentlemen, The Vintones and Aunty Doubles. Radio 1’s Collin Murray will be hosting the night too.

Ash Announce More Summer Shows

Ash have confirmed their appearane at the Glasgowbury Festival in Draperstown, Derry, N.Ireland on 26th July. The band have also confirmed their appearance at the Raumarock Festival in Norway on August 2nd and that they will be headling the Cardiff Free Music Festival on 3rd August. Check the tour dates section for a full list of upcoming shows.

Tickets for Ash’s special ‘1977′ show at the Astoria will be available from 9am on Tuesday 10th June.

Ash To Rock Ashtoria

Following the news that the bands performance of ‘1977′ at London’s Roundhouse has sold out, Ash have announced they will be returning to their favourite venue, London Astoria, the following night 6th September for a record breaking appearance to perform their classic album ‘1977′ in it’s entirety.

Ash To Headline Ben & Jerry’s Sundae

Ash are set to headline the Sunday leg of the Ben & Jerry’s Sundae festival, which takes place over the weekend of 26th - 27th July at London’s Clapham Common. Tickets are not currently on sale, but will soon be available from the Ben & Jerry’s Online Gift Shop priced at £8.75.

As well as Ash, festival goers can except sets from Slow Club, Cage the Elephant, Parka and The New York Fund and enjoy a mix of free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and fairground attractions.

The two day festival will also mark the 30th anniversary of Ben And Jerry’s ice cream, with founder Jerry Greenfield set to attend.

Tour Dates

Ash have sent an email to members of their mailing list detailing their current recording activites, problems with the official Ash website and upcoming tour dates for this summer. The email runs as follows:

Hey everyone, Sorry www.ash-official.com has been off-line for the past 2 weeks, we hope to get the database meltdown fixed asap. Currently we’re hard at work in the studio recording loads of new material for future release, got 15 new songs on the go at the moment. We’ve got a plan and big ideas but more on that later…

Between all the recording which is or main priority this year, we’re planning on flying in/out this summer and doing the odd weekend of festivals and random shows. Here’s what we got planned so far.

21.07.08 - Nano Mugen Festival, Japan (supporting Asian Kung-Fu Generation)

Ash To Play UK Shows

Seetickets.com are currently selling tickets for two UK Ash shows, no official confirmation from the band yet, but the dates are as follows:

May 30, 2008: St Georges Hall, Bradford (Buy tickets)
June 15, 2008: Loughborough Students Union, Loughborough (Buy Tickets)

UPDATE: Ash have also been confirmed for the main stage of the zoo8 Festival on July 5th in Kent at the Port Lympne Wildlife Park. Don’t forget that Ash will also be playing at Nova Rock Festival in Austria on June 13th and the Download Festival in the UK on June 14th.

Ash Confirmed For Download Festival

Ash have today been announced for the The Kerrang! sponsored Download festival which will be headlined by: Kiss, The Offspring and Lostprophets. Days, stage times and running order have yet to be confirmed.

The full list of other bands on the bill so far is as follows:

36 Crazy Fists, A Day To Remember, Alesana, Alter Bridge, Apocalyptica, Biffy Clyro, Bleeding Through, Bullet For My Valentine, Cavalera Conspiracy, Children Of Bodom, Chris Cornell, Coheed & Cambria, Disturbed, Elliot Minor, Fightstar, HIM, In Flames, Incubus, Jimmy Eat World, Job For A Cowboy, Jonathan Davis, Judas Priest, Kid Rock, Korn, Madina Lake, Motorhead, Pendulum, Rise Against, Seether, Simple Plan, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Devil Wears Prada, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Subways, Throwdown and Within Temptation.

The Download festival takes place the weekend of June 13 to June 15. Tickets are on sale now. Prices are as follows: a full weekend ticket: £130, standard camping: £20, camper van: £40, family zone camping: £20, lockers: £11, parking £10 in advance or £15 on the day.
