Ash, Elvis Costello, David Holmes, Iggy Pop and The Undertones and are amongst the artists who feature in a photo exhibition opening in Belfast from today (October 20).
‘Shot By Both Sides’ is billed a collection of images that define the ongoing spirit of alternative Ulster and feature big name stars alongside a succession of local bands from the last four decades.
‘We’re hoping that it reflects the excitement, the abrasion and the plurality of the music scene here’, said event curator and former NME writer Stuart Bailie.
‘It’s a scattershot story. Our history’s loaded and the hits keep coming’.
The exhibition – which features many rarely seen pictures – runs at the Belfast Old Museum Art Centre until November 6.
