Yep it is that exciting time again when a new Ash release is on the horizon, meaning it is also time for us to start voting the new single in the charts that matter to us. Below are some all important links if you have some more please let us know.
Vote Renegade Cavalcade now …
Here’s a first look at the artwork for Ash new single ‘Renegade Cavalcade’, which is released in the UK on December 06th. Full b-side details are yet to be confirmed but it is expected ‘Ghosts’, ‘We Don’t Care’ and ‘Shockwaves’ will be spread across the CD and 7′ format. The DVD is expected to feature both videos for ‘Renegade Cavalcade’ and an acoustic version of the lead track.
So it seems that Ash’s new single has been delayed for about the 5th time, it will now be released on December 06th. Like previous Meltdown singles it will be released on CD, DVD and numbered 7 inch, B-side details to come soon.
The rumour mill is going into overdrive on this one but we hear reports in todays press that Ash frontman Tim Wheeler is going to appear on the new Band Aid Christmas single. He was apparently confirmed yesterday along with Ms Dynamite. The Darkness, Coldplay, Travis, and Paul McCartney have all already confirmed. The single will be recorded on November 14th, the recording process will be filmed for a documentary to broadcast at a later date. You can read the news story here.
Update: Tim did appear at the Band Aid 20 recording session, though its unsure what exactly he did, its thought he played guitar parts on the track rather than any singing.
The release of Ash’s new single ‘Renegade Cavalcade’ has been delayed once more, and confirmed for a November 29th release. The single will coincide with the bands UK Arena shows supporting The Darkness. B-sides still yet to be confirmed, but are expected to include new track ‘Ghosts’ and an acoustic version of ‘Renegade Cavalcade’.
According to a post made by Ash’s manager Tav on the official Ash messageboard, the video for new single ‘Renegade Cavalcade’ has been pulled. The video appeared for selection on kerrang TV for one day last week, after which it mysteriously disappeared.
