Ash Rock Isle Of Wight Festival

Sunday, June 10th, 2007

Ash performed a blistering set of their punk pop hits as the second day (June 9) of the Isle Of Wight festival moved towards its climax.

Barely pausing for breath, singer Tim Wheeler and co tore through a greatest set that had the crowd bouncing an mosh for the full hour.

Opening with ‘Burn Baby Burn’, the band - playing their first summer as a trio again following the departure of guitarist Charlotte Hatherley last year - mixed old favourites including ‘Girl From Mars’ with the title track of forthcoming album ‘Twilight Of The Innocents’. The set list ran as follows:

Burn Baby Burn
Angel Interceptor
Orpheus
You Can’t Have It All
Goldfinger
I Started A Fire
Walking Barefoot
Kung Fu
Polaris
A Life Less Ordinary
Oh Yeah
Girl From Mars
Twilight Of The Innocents

In other news, Ash have been announced as support to Kaiser Chiefs and the Fratellis at Marlay Park, Dublin on Sunday 26th August.
