Ash Awarded Single Of The Week

Ash’s new single ‘There’s A Star’ has won Radio 2’s single of the week award. Don’t forget that the single released on Monday 31st December 2001 is only available for one week after which it will be deleted. In other Radio news, Ash came second on Radio 1’s Evening Sessions Top 10 live gigs of the year. Finally Ash played their cover of The Undertones ‘Teenage Kicks’ at the bands show at London Brixton Academy. I’ve finally got round to adding my Rock City review, the Kerrang review of the same show can also be found in the gigography.

It’s been an amazing 12 months for Ash starting with the top 10 single ‘Shining Light’ in January and finishing with a sold out UK tour in December, hopefully there’s more to come next year. This will be the last update of the year 2001, so have a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year and we’ll see you in 2002. Don’t forget Ash are on Jools Holland on New Year Eve.
