Wave of Mutilation

Cease to resist, giving my goodbye
Drive my car into the ocean
You think I’m dead, but I sail away

On a wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
A wave
Wave

I’ve kissed mermaids, rode the El Niño
Walked the sand with the crustaceans
Could find my way to Mariana

On a wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave
A wave
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave
A wave

Song Notes

“Wave of Mutilation” is a song by Pixies that appears on their 1989 album Doolittle. This song was inspired by Black Francis reading about Japanese businessmen who would commit suicide by driving their cars off a cliff and into the ocean. No recorded version of the track by Ash exists. However, Tim Wheeler played the song live with The Crookes on March 24th, 2012, at the Xoyo in London. The show was sponsored by Jack Daniels and saw Tim play a whole set of Pixies songs.
