Asked by NME in August 2023 about whether the lyric “right from the beginning I cut myself free because I realised there’s no-one else like me”, was the most ego driven tune he’d written so far, Tim Wheeler replied:
“Yeah. It’s a bit tongue in cheek. I was enjoying listening to a bit of hip hop at the time and I love the swagger of all that.”
